Holy cow, closing in on a year. The last year has flown by. Jack is pulling himself up on everything, walking like a champ behind his walker (and taking corners like a race car driver) and will stand on his own.......but he hasn't been brave enough to take that first step. He now says "bye bye", "bubbles" (which actually sound quite similar, but we can differentiate with context clues), "dada" and "mama" (we think on the last two, he's been making those sounds for months now, but it appears that he's actually referring to one of us now). He loves reading books. He loves Fish, our cat, and is actually quite gentle with him. He's not as into Gryphon, our dog: although he's not scared of him, I think Gryphon's 90# is just too overwhelming to enjoy. He's doing great at his new daycare: he's warmed up to everyone, is sleeping and eating great and enjoys their activities. He's still a very social baby and does not shy away from strangers or crowds.
